Group ride is the new high school cafeteria but I’m still the same social reject that I was back then…

Except I have hair now…

Where can I get me a pair of these bad boys???
The glasses I mean. Not the balls it takes to wear them. =)

Crash, Eneco Tour 4 Comments »

I ate shit in Suisun. It was all my fault, I am a bonehead. If you know me you know that I’m pretty clumsy, always tripping over myself. I’m sorry to whoever was behind me that I took down with me. I know it’s racing and it happens but I feel terrible. (old pic but it fit the blog)
Anyway, I owe a big thanks to Mark for putting up with my pouting after I removed myself from the pavement and went into hiding for the rest of the day. THANKS MARK!!!
I also owe a big thanks to Dave for personally ordering my new Reynolds fork, installing said fork as well as new handlebars and bar tape, and not kicking me off his team for embarrassing Vanderkitten’s good name. THANKS DAVE!!!
On another note I have to give a little bit of encouragement to one of my “most important people” who is currently in Belgie-land racing the Eneco Tour and having what he calls “a spell” of bad luck cast over him. Chin up, Peter! Fairy is crossing her fingers… hope it works. :)

Soon

Get Well Kim!

Kim Geist accident 1 Comment »

Just wanted to send a message to Kim Geist of Team Lipton. She was seriously injured while out training. Apparently a tractor-trailer turned in front of her and then ran her over. I don’t know Kim but as a fellow cyclist my heart goes out to her. We all know that we take our lives in our hands just by getting on a bike everyday, so I count my blessings that I’ve been lucky so far. Get well soon, Kim!
